Sensor head
This is a high-performance sensor that combined a light sensor with an LED light source and a magnetic sensor. Up to 3 units can be equipped (option).
No special license required
Because it does not use any radiation such as γ-rays, β-rays, or X-rays, it is safe and does not require a special license.
Possible to measure thickness of non-magnetic metal foil
Since the static magnetic field sensor is used, it is possible to measure the thickness of non-magnetic metal foils such as aluminum foil and copper foil.
Possible to measure thickness of composite film/sheet
It is also possible to measure various composite films laminated with different materials or composite sheets such as lithium-ion battery electrode materials.
Measurement of various special films
It is possible to measure thickness of transparent items, printed or colored items, or porous items such as separator.
Not affected by environmental changes
Due to its unique sensing system, it is virtually unaffected by environmental influences such as vibrations.
Possible to measure moisture and basis weight
Moisture and basis weight measurements are also possible for paper manufacturing applications only (option).

An optical sensor measures the position where the web surface blocks the light beam, and a magnetic sensor measures the distance to the roll, and the thickness is calculated from their difference. Since the optical and magnetic sensors are integrated, fluctuations due to vibrations or the thermal expansion of rolls are automatically compensated. |
