MF Cleaner (Web cleaner)
Achieves more effective paper dust removal with less airflow.
Achieved effective paper dust removal with small air volume.
The MF paper dust removal system has completely changed the concept that “paper dust must be removed by sucking it up.” The function of the blow box used in this system is not just “suction”. A unique method that high-speed air is blown onto the paper using a special method to draw the paper towards the blow box while to “beat out” the paper dust has been adopted. Therefore, compared to conventional method using the suction box or hood, more effective paper dust removal can be achieved with less air volume.
Structure of the blow box
The blow box has a dual structure of a high-pressure box and a suction box. High-speed air is blown out from the nozzle of the high-pressure box diagonally to the paper surface to draw the paper surface toward the blow box side and to beat out the paper dust. Furthermore, the paper dust is sucked up along with the surrounding air by a suction box. Additionally, a static electricity removal brush is placed at the front of the blow box to make it easier to separate the paper dust from the paper surface.
The reason why the paper is drawn to the blow box side
High-speed air (wind speed 40 to 60 m/sec at the outlet of the blowout nozzle) that is blown diagonally to the paper surface forms a high-speed air flow along the paper surface resulting to generate negative pressure. This negative pressure acts as a force to draw the paper toward the blow box. Furthermore, this blow box that blows out air also works as a kind of air table. Therefore, the paper surface does not directly rub against the blow box and there is no resistance, so there is no need to worry about damaging the paper surface or breaking it.
